Malala Yousafzai

Pakistani activist for girls' education and the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate, receiving the award at age 17. She began speaking out against the Taliban’s ban on girls’ education at a young age. In 2012, she survived a gunshot to the head in an assassination attempt by the Taliban. After her recovery, Yousafzai became an internationally prominent advocate for education and human rights.
